Worst Haircut Ever!

I had beautiful semi thick hair with wave that I had finally got the back grown out after a bad layering and was getting compliments again. I went to a different hair stylists at top salon and told her only to trim the back 1", that's all and to layer the front. She took thinning shears to the back without my knowledge and butchered my hair. I don't know if she used them wrong but all my underneath layers are gone. All that's left are a few wispy strands underneath one layer of hair. The front is so thin I cant style it.
It breaks my heart to even look at myself now. All my curl is gone and I look like a have very thin hair. Thousands of strands are growing out and its going to look worse. I was lucky that the curl I did have, made my hair appear thicker but with a thyroid problem now, I was told it probably would grow out thinner and extensions are too expensive!
I could get a better haircut at Walmart for 10 dollars. This is not a bad haircut I can just grow out, it is probably permanent.
Why would she take thinning shears to my hair is beyond me. She even asked why I wanted it long and I told her its the way I like it and it was finally healthy enough to grow. Now it is thin and looks fried! I am getting it all cut off.
Can anyone tell me why I have no hair underneath now? Thinning shears are not suppose to do this.

Your haircut isn't permanent sweetheart, although I know right now it feels like it is! A low functioning thyroid is reversible if you take the right steps!
I assure you! If thinning shears are overused, they can literally
cut your hair off entirely! Thinning shears are supposed to be used sporadically and cautiously!
You can help your hair grow back faster by taking
Super Biotin everyday.
You can increase, improve, and most probably reverse your low thyroid function by taking 12 milligrams of
iodine supplements daily. (One of the best brands is
Iodoral.) You can also add
celtic sea salt to the foods you eat naturally everyday.
