I want to know if I use biotin supplements for hair growth, whether it has side effects i.e that hair will grow on my face or on any other body part or not? Please give me guidance which biotin supplement is useful for hair growth. Somebody told me that if you use supplements for hair, it will grow hair on your face as well. My hair is very weak and short and I want to increase the length within 2 months.

Although there are no known side effects from using
biotin supplements but it helps all of your hair grow, not just the hair on your head. However, I've been taking 5000 micrograms of biotin daily for over the last 5 years and have not noticed an increase of
hair growth on my face at all. You won't suddenly develop hair like you see on a man's face or anything like that, for sure!
There are so many different brands of biotin on the market but they all work about the same. Just be sure to buy supplements from a company that you trust. To notice a difference in your hair, take at least 2000-5000 micrograms daily for hair growth and the most benefits. You cannot take too much biotin because its a water soluble vitamin. What your body doesn't use gets eliminated when you urinate.
Remember too, that some foods (like egg yolks) are very high in biotin. Consume them regularly to reap the rewards! See the list of foods on the
biotin supplements page.
If you have
weak hair, you need to bolster it's strength by using
protein treatments. Be sure to moisturize your hair also because pure protein can make your
hair dry and brittle by itself.
Hope this helps!
