Will hair color fade in the swimming pool?

I just got my hair colored with pm shines. I want to go swimming but I'm am worried that it will run? I'm ok with the color fading slightly but I do not want to leave a trail as I'm doing laps. Should this be a concern?

PM shines typically are long lasting colors. However, why don't you just wear a swim/bathing cap to protect your hair instead of worrying about it. Who cares what you look like when you're swimming laps, right?

If you don't want to use a swim cap, then I'd suggest pulling your hair into a tight ponytail on top of your head. If you have long hair, double over your hair so it doesn't hang down and possibly slap you in the face. Knowwhatimean?

The only other option is to get in the water and duck your head under the water, then look and see if your color is running.

By the way, swim caps have come a long way. There are tons of caps to choose from and they are very sleek and inexpensive to buy. Most of them are under $10! You can even find them in silicone, which will help them slide off your head when you're finished and not pull your hair out. (like the old ones used to do!) They are also very sleek and stylish now! Check them out! I'm sure you can find one that you like!
