Will Cutting Hair Help Regrow it?

I'm a male with long curly hair. I love my hair but it has gotten extremely thin in the front and on the crown. I was told if I cut my hair it would probably grow back. I really honestly don't know what to do. Should I cut my hair and keep a short cut? or should I just try to thicken it while it is long? If I keep a short cut will my hair be normal again?

I am really sorry this is happening to you! You need to figure out if this is something that's genetic or something that's happening because of a medical illness. Autoimmune disorders, like Crohns disease and even rheumatoid arthritis, can cause
hair loss but unfortunately, this sounds like male pattern baldness.
Male pattern baldness usually follows a typical pattern, starting with a receding hairline and hair thinning at the crown. It is caused by hormones and a genetic predisposition.
Cutting your hair short isn't going to correct the problem. Unless you like short hair, cutting it won't solve anything.
You might try
Rogaine or Propecia. Neither of them will help regrow hair that's stopped growing but should help keep the hair you have left. Hair transplant surgery has come a long way and that may or may not be an option for you too. Also, you might try taking
Super Biotin to help grow your hair out. Its a simple
B vitamin that helps with hair, skin, and nail growth. Massaging the thinning areas of your hair might also help. Use gentle massage to help stimulate circulation, which helps with
hair growth.
Last year, I lost a huge amount of hair because of an autoimmune disorder that I was going through at the time. If I hadn't been taking Super Biotin at the time, I think it would have been much worse. My hair thankfully, is growing back now but in many cases (50%), hair never grows back.
