Easy Weight Loss Tip for Vegetables

If you are looking for an easy weight loss tip, try this one for vegetables. Traditional Chinese Medicine suggests that you should eat fruit alone, by itself, to help sweep debris and toxins from your bowels and to aid digestion.

This suggestion however, is about eating your veggies.

A while back, I came across a tip in a health journal and it really stuck in my head. The article said to eat your protein and carbohydrates first and to eat your vegetables last. It makes a lot of sense if you break it down and really think about it!

Easy Weight Loss Tip for Vegetables

We've all been taught that fruits and vegetables are more easily digested than meats or carbohydrates. This is just common sense. So, what about it?

Generally when you sit down to eat a meal, your gastric juices are at their highest concentrations. Proteins and carbohydrates require higher concentrations of gastric juices to break them down. If you eat the foods that are 'hard to digest first' you will be better able to digest your food overall.

Since vegetables (and fruits) are more easily digested, it only makes sense to eat them last, when gastric juices don’t have to be at their highest levels. Yes, it all gets mixed up somewhat in your stomach, but get real. Your stomach is not like a cement mixer that turns around and around!

Eat foods that are hard to digest FIRST, while the concentration of gastric juices are at a maximum, and then foods that are easy to digest LAST, when gastric juices are at a minimum!

We have been taught by our restaurant industry, to eat our salads first. It is general practice that most restaurants serve you your salad while you wait for the rest of your meal. You end up eating all of your salad because you're hungry, then you are served the protein and carbohydrates. How can you properly digest foods that are hardest to digest last if you are full from eating easily digested foods first? Seems inconsistent with the proper order of things!

A better choice might be to ask your waiter to bring your salad with your meal. That way you can be sure to at least consume your meat first, then work on the other dishes. Meat is truly the hardest food to digest and should be eaten first. But don't overdo on the protein and be sure to save room for the rest of your meal. You will still need to pay attention to portion sizes and serving sizes to lose weight! You should also be sure to know how certain foods like proteins especially, should be cooked to render them easier to digest.

Eat the foods which are easily digested next to last or last. This makes a lot more sense in the order of things.

Improper digestion is a multi-billion dollar industry. If you always have heartburn or indigestion after a meal, try this simple solution. It may be that your body is trying to tell you something.

If you are blood type A, you should not be eating much meat at all realistically. If you want to stay trim, Type A blood type diet should be vegetarian. Type O blood type diet is carnivorous. Type O's should eat lots of lean protein on the Type O diet to stay lean and avoid wheat gluten. If you don't know your blood type, ask your mom if she's still alive or go to the hospital where you were born. They have records of your blood type. You should know about the foods that turn up your metabolism and the foods that slow it down, just by knowing how to eat right for your blood type.

You don't need to know your blood type though, to turn up your metabolism. If you need to lose weight, eating your veggies last and your carbohydrates and your meat first, seems simple enough. This is a really a easy and simple weight loss tip. Be sure to include it in your daily meal plans.
