Want to Change Straightening Hair Products
I have thick coarse curly hair and have professionally straightened my hair with chemical relaxers for years. A year ago I switched to the Keratin Brazillian treatment. My hair is strong & healthy but thick and unmanageble in summer months. I would to like to return to the relaxers I used prior to trying the Keratin Brazillian treatment. The high cost of the Keratin treatments is also a factor. Before I consult my stylist I would like another professional opinion on how long I should wait before I go to back the relaxer I used prior to the Keratin treatment. I usually go for the Keratin treatment every 2 1/2 - 3 months.

The problem with estimating a specific waiting period is that everyone's hair is slightly different. What works well for you, might not work well for someone else.
That said, you should test a small amount of the relaxer on a small section of your hair underneath to know if your hair will take the product properly.
If the relaxer works well on the underneath hair, then try another small section in the top section of your hair. Hair that's hidden underneath is protected from the environment more than the hair on top. That will be the real test!
You should know what results you'll get by doing a few simple tests first. This will help prevent a hair disaster if they don't work well or damage your hair. Make sense?
