Q) How long should I wait after waxing hair (eyebrows) to go tanning?
I really need to know so I don't mess up my tan!
Professional Hair Care Answer - This might sound crazy but when you wax any skin you change the PH of your skin. You should always wait after waxing to go tanning, at least an hour or so. (That is if you follow the steps correctly to restore pH, reduce the size of the pores, and moisturize your skin.)
After waxing, zipping, or using a depilatory you should always restore the PH by using a skin toner. If you use one like Neutrogena Pore Refining Toner, you'll get a toner and a pore refiner in one. Toner's help restore the PH and will help alleviate that 'reddened' look you get after waxing. I would suggest that you allow your skin to rest for a few hours after waxing before tanning. And always follow up by using a moisturizer. I also suggest using Professional Hair Wax. There should be 4 steps to waxing, after you've cleaned your skin. 1) wax 2) use toner 3) use a moisturizer 4) allow the skin to rest.
