Using Color Correctors after Extensions
by Rina
(Colorado)
I have a question and I need help really bad! My hair is dyed black (Demi-permanent) and I took my keratin bonded extensions out last night so my hair is pretty thin and a little damaged.
I was going to use the ion color corrector to remove that black dye and go back to being blonde and get a haircut after. Is the ion color corrector safe to use on after extensions hair?? HELP!

As long as your hair in general and hair ends aren't damaged from having extensions, your hair should be fine.
After you use the color corrector though, it would be a good idea to deep condition your hair and use a
protein treatment with moisture on your hair. Protein will help rebuild your hair and make your hair thicker. Color correctors can be very harsh on your hair so for the best results, recondition your hair after you use them. (If your hair was really damaged, you'd want to use deep conditioners before and afterward.)
Also, you are exactly right not to
trim your hair before you process your hair. Its best to trim hair after chemical treatments, not before.
