Thinning Hair in the Front
by Prasanna

Hi. I am a 19 year old young boy. I am suffering from the problem of thinning hair. My left and right upper portion of my forehead is totally hairless. My hair color is mostly white, so I dye it. If anyone asks me in my college group about my hair, I feel insulted. To avoid that, I often use a cap in college so everyone knows me as ‘capboy’.
I use coconut oil daily for my hair before I go to sleep at night. I was also using Henna herbal oil before. White drying my hair, the hair left on the towel are a lot. I think that within 6 months or a year, I will be totally bald. I have lost confidence and always keep away from all the functions and programs at the college. My hair is dull. Please show me the correct way. Hope you will?

Hi! It sounds like you've got a receding hair line. This is quite common in men. I wonder if it runs in your family. In other words, did your father or grandfather have a receding hairline? It doesn't sound like you've got overall hair loss from what you wrote?
There is nothing you can do for this because it's usually genetic. Wearing a baseball cap isn't helping though. Your scalp needs to breathe, so be sure and take it off at home.
If you don't think you have a receding hair line, sometimes extreme stress can bring about
hair loss and/or at your age, it could be your hormones working overtime.
One thing that works well for many people, (but I am not sure if you can get it where you live) is
biotin. Biotin is a B vitamin that helps with the growth and health of your hair, skin, and nails.
Super Biotin works even better. You can also purchase Hair Vitamins. These are special formulations that blend the vitamins you need for better hair growth. Leafy green vegetables are rich in
B vitamins so be sure to eat plenty of them.
Try eating more foods that are rich in
Omega 3 Fatty Acids or take fish oil supplements. Protein shakes might also help if your diet lacks protein. Protein is the basic component of hair and is vital to healthy hair.
Since you are already using coconut oil every night, go ahead and massage your scalp too. Massage increases circulation which helps stimulate hair follicles. You must also allow your scalp to breathe. I don't know if you weave your hair or not, but it's also not recommended.
Some people lose hair in patches, which is called Alopecia Areata. This a disorder that causes hair loss in patches only. If this sounds like 'you', you'll need to see a doctor for further diagnosis.
Stay away from Henna products. It sounds like the Henna oil you were using might have started the problem. You may have an allergy to Henna, so stick with the
coconut oil unless you think that's causing a problem for you too.
