Swine Flu in the UK

I live in the UK and we are being told that the emergency vaccination program is being started for 'vulnerable' groups, and yet the front line nurses who are treating these patients are refusing the vaccine.
Yes, maybe some groups are more vulnerable than others, i.e., expectant mothers, the very young, and the infirm who already have other underlying health issues. However, I would think that the rest of the population will develop a natural immunity or even if they catch Swine flu it will be no different from a dose of 'ordinary' flu - over in a day or so.
Also it is in the financial news that this 'flu' scare will give a tremendous boost to the profits of the manufacturers of the vaccine i.e. GKN
I may be wrong but only time will tell.

I am not surprised Jo. Just this morning on the news, a 'health expert' said that there was widespread flu in the US. How do they know if the Center for Disease Control stopped testing for the flu back in April? He also stated that if they had known about the swine flu pandemic a year ago, they would have included it in the regular flu vaccine. Ha! I don't believe that for one minute.
Also my son, who is in high school, was offered a 'free swine flu vaccine' at his school, so I immediately called our Nurses' Practitioner. She told me NOT to have him vaccinated! She told me she was forced to have the vaccine at her job but got pretty sick after receiving it. (She had the nasal spray vaccine.)
I have also read reports that stated that in Europe, the vaccine has killed more people than the actual swine flu has. Wonder if you've also heard or read this? And btw, thanks for your input!
