Swimming in a Pool with Rebonded Hair

What if I want to go to a swimming party but a month ago I had a my hair rebonded. Can I go for a swim? ************* Chlorine (found in pools) should not affect your rebonding. You will however, need to rinse your hair thoroughly after you get out of the pool and use a shampoo and conditioner that are made specifically for chemically treated hair. Chemicals used in your hair are strong enough to break your own hair pattern but chemicals in a pool would be diluted and not be able to change hair patterns. However over time, chlorine can be very drying so be sure to bolster your hair with lots of moisture. You should also somewhat moderate the amount of times you get your hair wet, just to heir on the side of caution. If you wore a bathing cap, you'd eliminate all risks. |
