Splotchy Burgundy Hair Color
I recently colored my hair burgundy using a L'Oreal home kit. I read tips on picking hair color according to skin tone and so forth yet am confused.
Due to having my hair dyed last year, the burgundy came out more in some areas more than others. I naturally have black hair, however, it seems mow that my complexion against the color is making my skin appear lifeless. Need help.

If the burgundy color came out splotchy, its probably not due to the previous color that was done so long ago. It is more than likely a result of your hair being overly porous in some areas.
Porous hair cannot hold color. Before you change the color of your hair, its good to
deep condition your hair, so the color applies evenly.
If you wanted to keep the burgundy color, you could condition your hair and re-color it.
However, you are not happy with the fact that burgundy is making your complexion looked washed out. The bad news is that burgundy colors are the worst to remove without drastic measures.
You will either need to use a
hair color remover (several times most probably) or use bleach to remove the color.
Once the hair color is completely removed, deep condition your hair again. Then choose a hair color that adds warmth to your complexion instead.
