Solution for Oily Hair

Please help me find a solution for oily hair. Within a few hours after washing, drying and straightening my hair it starts to look oily. Any suggestions of a shampoo? I've even tried coloring my hair to no avail.

Oily hair is a big problem for most teenagers because hormones can run rampant and change the amount of oils your sebaceous glands produce. It can also be a problem for women during and after pregnancy for the same reasons. It may also be genetic or caused by excessive heat or health problems.
Often too, oily hair can signal a dry scalp. If your scalp is overly dry, your hair follicles will produce more oils. Use
shampoos and conditioners for dry scalp and see if they help any.
Its also good to clarify your hair occasionally, to remove residual build up of hair products. Use a vinegar rinse of one part
apple cider vinegar to four parts water in the shower. (1/4 C. vinegar/1 C. water) If you have long hair, use conditioners only on the ends and mid hair shaft. Using them close to your scalp will only make your hair oilier.
Brushing your hair a lot can also distribute the oils you do have and increase oiliness.
If you straighten your hair everyday, you are actually contributing to your oily hair. Pulling and tugging on your hair and/or running your fingers through your hair, increase the amount of oils that get distributed through your hair.
If you have dry scalp, concentrate your shampoo on the ends and tips of your hair. You want to remove the excess oil from your hair only, not your scalp. Excessive shampooing can cause your scalp to dry out even more.
If you don't have dry scalp, use mild shampoos (like baby shampoo) and allow them to stay on your scalp for about five minutes. This will help to super-clean your hair and reduce oils.
