Antiaging Skin Care Tips to Improve Your Skin

There are several skin care tips you can implement right now to help keep your skin looking great! No one has perfect skin. We all have discolorations or other imperfections that we strive to make better. The condition of your skin says a lot about you! If you consume an unhealthy diet, it will show up on your skin. The statement ‘you are what you eat’ is true when it comes to skin care.

If you want a healthy complexion, you must do things that enhance it. Start your skin care makeover by consuming more healthy foods and less unhealthy foods. Nothing in excess is good for you! Exercise is recommended to improve lung function and circulate more oxygen in your body. The more oxygen your cells have, the better your skin will look. Beyond diet and exercise, there are many other things you can do to improve skin clarity and condition.

Dull or sallow skin may be a symptom of a weakened immunity or an overindulgence in fatty foods and carbohydrates with little exercise.

Antiaging Skin Care Tips

Supplements for Skin Renewal

- Consume Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Selenium and Beta-Carotene help combat wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin.
- To improve the texture and moisture content of the skin, it is recommended to supplement on iron, zinc and beta-carotene supplements.
- Take Vitamin C to enhance the connective tissue of the skin.
- B Vitamins are an important for the health of hair, skin and nails and should be taken regularly. Emergen-C Super Energy Boostericon combines both C and B vitamins, is convenient and tastes great!
- Evening Primrose oil supplements are reported to be highly beneficial for skin, as they contain gamma Lionelic Acid, a well known essential fatty acid. Primrose Oil use helps strengthen skin cells and increase moisture content of the skin.

Nutrients to Protect skin from UV Damage

Vitamin C - Take Vitamin C and Vitamin E to protect your skin against sunburn.
Fish Oil - Fish oil may fight against both UVA and UVB radiation in people with sensitivity to light. If you have problems with indigestion, fish oil caplets might not be a very good idea. Instead opt for products like Sunkist Omega 3 Soft Chews, Creamy Orangeicon. These are a lot easier to digest and won't give you that 'fishy' aftertaste.

Taking supplements regularly are really effective and inexpensive skin care tips!

Sallow Skin

Dull or sallow skin may be a symptom of a weakened immunity or an overindulgence in fatty foods and carbohydrates with little exercise. Skin may also appear sallow or lifeless especially throughout the winter months due to light conditions. Winter light has a blue cast that is believed to make an individual look paler. Summer light however sheds a warm yellow glow.

Prevent Sallow Skin

- Steaming your face is beneficial for relaxing, soothing and boosting circulation. It also helps to deep clean the pores and flush out bacteria and other impurities. It also helps to soften the skin.
Once the skin is steamed, it is believed that it becomes more receptive to other skin brightening treatments, for example face masks and radiance enhancing moisturizers.
- Facial scrubs are thought to help brighten up your skin. Use them regularly for best results.
- Warm up sallow skin by wearing warm berry or rose toned colored lipsticks. These create a natural flush on the cheeks. Shimmering golden blushes applied on the temples, browbones, and cheekbones also add warmth to facial tones and give sallow skin a healthy glowing complexion.

Exfoliation

Every month your skin sheds old skin cells and replaces them with new skin cells. Exfoliating creams and scrubs help eliminate dead skin cells. The pressure you use during exfoliation increases circulation and aids in cell production. Use this skin care tip and exfoliate your skin every few days. I've used Queene Helene Oatmeal and Honey Natural Face Scrubicon for years but there are many other facial scrubs on the market.

Others that are recommended are Earth Science Gentle Facial Scrub, Apricoticon, Skin Milk Facial Scrub, Exfoliateicon, and Alba Hawaiian Facial Scrub, Pineapple Enzymeicon.

Toners

Using a toner after you clean your face helps give skin a fresh feeling and eliminates impurities. Toners and floral waters are popular. Rose water is excellent to use for dry skin and Camomile water can be used as a toner for normal and sensitive skins. Toners like Neutrogena Alcohol Free Tonericon and Booth's Fruit Enzyme Balance Tonericon have great ratings and work well.

Moisturizers

There are two separate kinds of moisturizers: humectant moisturizers and occlusive moisturizers. Humectant moisturizers draw water up from the dermis. Occlusive moisturizers form an oily film on the surface of the skin to seal in moisture and prevent evaporation.

Your body’s natural moisturizing factor (NMF) monitors the water flow from the dermis to the surface of your skin to your skin cells. Sebum combats moisture loss, which forms a barrier on the surface of the skin and delays water evaporation. Production of NMF and Sebum slows down with aging and is why you should use water based moisturizers. All skin types need moisturizing at least twice daily. You can also find good moisturizers with SPF protection and vitamins. Try Murad Environmental Shield Essential - C Day Moisture SPF 15 or philosophy shelter broad spectrum sunscreen for face and body, spf 30 for protective and moisturizing qualities in one.

Lip Care

Lips require extra protection as they lack many of your body's natural protective barriers, like glands and melanin. Without built in barriers to protect them, your lips lose moisture regularly and maybe prone to dryness as well. For these reasons, it is good advice to wear lip balms or lipsticks with UVA and UVB protection.
