Shiny hair is something every woman wants to have! With all the hair products that everyone uses, its easy to understand how hair can become dull, limp, or lifeless from time to time.

There are many ways to add more light refraction in your hair to make it look shinier. Everyone wants to have beautiful, silky hair, however different hair textures have different needs. You must use different ingredients for different hair types to make it shine. Healthy, gleaming hair enhances everyone’s beauty!
For all types of hair, use a can of beer as a final rinse. (any brand)
When your hair dries, you won’t be able to smell the beer but your hair will be oh so shiny and it will feel so soft!
When your hair is shiny, the cuticle of your hair is laying down. If the cuticle of your hair is up, your hair looks frizzy and unhealthy and dull.
Fine Hair: Use a shampoo with wheat proteins and polymers. These ingredients coat the hair shaft making it look and feel thicker. Using spray volumizers can really add texture to your hair too. These are light enough and will deposit a light mist of shine in the form of droplets without wilting your hair. Products like Biosilk Silk Therapy is great for fine hair types.
Normal Hair: Use a shampoo that has silk amino acids in it. These amino acids soften and repair hair structure. Lecithin also restores hair texture. To add shine, use gels and creams like the ones by John Frieda. First apply the product on your palm, rub your hands together and tap it gently onto dry hair. (for best results)
Thick and Coarse Hair: Use pomades they will not only make your hair shiny but will moisturize your hair as well. Pomades are like hair waxes and molding muds. They provide very strong control and hold, helping to maintain a sculpted style or reduce frizz. They work especially well on coarse, curly hair. Use these products sparingly as a little goes a long way. Place a dab in your hand, rub your hands together to warm up and distribute the product and then apply.
