How is Self Confidence Born?

How is self confidence born? Is it given to us? Is it inborn in us? Does it depend on environmental influences?

Does it’s value depend on what others think about us? Or is it rather our own perception of ourselves?

Why do some people have it while other people don’t?

The amount of self confidence we have is cumulative. It is a combination of our own opinions and perceptions about ourselves AND what others think about us.

Gaining it starts with the little things we do for ourselves that give us a positive perception of who we are and push us forward in life. We able to feel and be successful in life when we take positive steps. It is also easy to gain it if you don’t have it. It is also unfortunately easy to lose.

Tips to Help Create Self Confidence:

1) Get it Right the First Time - If you make mistakes, move past them and don't repeat them. If you keep making the same mistakes, then you won't get anywhere. You can't gain confidence in yourself if you aren't willing to make improvements in your life. Get past them.

2) DO things that help make you feel good about YOU. - Helping others is a great way to feel good about you!

3) Practice Self Love DAILY~ - Do one thing daily to improve yourself. Small things work the best! Simply giving yourself a good moisturizing body massage or eating the right nutritional foods will help you feel radiant!

4) Be Obedient! - Obey your ethical and moral beliefs. Only then can you feel good about you~

5) Be Passionate about some aspect of your life. - Whether it’s taking care of the kids, scrubbing the floor, or writing a book or a webpage!

6) Exude Positivity! - Let it flow! Be positively convinced that you are worthwhile and CAN DO IT. Life experiences are meant to challenge us and teach us. Try to take a positive spin on the bad things that happen and turn them into good. Recently I lost my ISP server and my PC. For days and days I went without it. I could have taken some well deserved time off and NOT gotten anything done. Instead I took advantage of that time and did other things that could be done offline. Take advantage of the time you're given and be successful~

7) Smile a lot:O) - It really helps you LOOK more confident! If people see you smiling, they will smile back~

8) Dress for Success!~ - Wear clothes that are appropriate for your body type and that help you look your best! Dressing well is just one way to make you feel great about you. When you look good, you walk and talk confidently~

9) Exercise regularly - Exercise a great way to feel great! If you’ve gotten out of an exercise routine, take time for one. Walking or bike riding are great ways to help you tone muscle and lose fat. Exercise helps to release natural feel good ‘endorphins’ in your body. You really do feel better when you exercise~

10) Never say never! - Never say you can’t do something. You can do anything you put your mind to doing. Start at the beginning and keep working until you achieve your goals~

Here is a fine example of what the mind can create:

Self Confidence - As a Man Thinketh

A competent scientist reports the result of a test with three men in the British Army.

“I asked the three men to submit themselves to a test designed to measure the effect of their mental attitude on their physical strength, this strength to be registered by a single gripping device operated by the right hand of each.

In their normal state, these three men had an average grip of 101 pounds.

When put under hypnosis, I told them that they were very weak, their utmost effort registered only 29 pounds.

But when, still keeping the men under hypnosis, I told them that they were very strong, their average strength jumped back to the normal 101 pounds and then rose up to 142 pounds.

They were actually 40% stronger when they believed they were strong and 70% weaker when they believed they were weak.

Believe in yourself! You can achieve your goals! Self confidence is something you can create for yourself.
