Reduce Brassiness in Blonde Hair

thats my current hair color after revlon ultra ash blonde and higlights
Please help me! I'm a natural dark brunette. I've dyed my hair a couple of light brown shades but it always turns out to be brassy and it has this orange tone. I kept trying to go lighter to achieve the ashy blonde color I want but it never worked.
Recently I dyed my hair by Revlon ultra ash blonde and it turned to a strawberry blonde color so I used bleach to get blonde highlights so it would cool down the brassiness a bit.
Should I dye my hair a light shade of brown and do lots of blonde highlights? or what?

It would be much simpler to try and reduce the brassiness in your hair using products like Clairol Shimmer Lights. Its a purple shampoo that's used to reduce brassy colors from lighter hair colors or white hair.
Just be sure the water you have in your home is not hard water. Hard water can contribute to more brassiness or to the purple shampoo casting a purple tone to your hair. Try using the shampoo in increments. Start out letting it sit in your hair for only a few minutes and then as you notice the results (if all is well) you can leave the shampoo in your hair longer for more dramatic results.
You might also try a couple of other products on the market.
Loreal Colorist Secrets and
John Frieda Go Blonder are products that help lighten your hair.
Once you've gotten the brassiness under control, then add more blonde highlights. Make sense?
