Purple and Blue Shadow
Purple and Green Shadow
Since purple is such a versatile color, you can combine it with other colors for a great look! Purple make up looks outrageously gorgeous with green, blue, pink, gold, brown, and black.
Purple colors with red and blue undertones can be worn by most everyone but pay attention when selecting your purple make up colors. A real test is to simply hold the purple color next to your inner arm to see if its compatible with your skin tone.
Use darker shades of purple eyeshadow as a base color. Then use lighter or darker shades of purple to highlight or subdue the color.
You can mix and match purple shadow shades to make your own hue. Just be sure the color you get looks good with your own unique complexion.
In most cases, if you have medium to dark skin tone, darker purple colors rule the day, although lighter shades of purple can be used as a highlighter to make your eyes pop!
Its always fun to use purple for your smokey eyes.
For a twist, use your purple eyeshadow as a liner. Use the side of your eyeshadow sponge for best results. Here’s a makeup tip that works well:
Line a darker eyeshadow shade halfway along the outer upper lashes, and then use your lighter highlighting shade along the inner upper lashes, meeting the dark shade in the middle. The highlighting shade instantly brightens your eyes and at the same time, the darker shade looks seductive and mesmerizing.
Purple colors are soothing and pleasing to your eyes! Since they can create a relaxing mood, they may also be able to help relax your facial muscles. Think about how you feel when you walk into a room with purple walls or how you feel when you see purple flowers. The hidden blue's in purple make you feel warm and cozy.
Purple make up can be played-up for festive occasions or subdued for everyday wear.
For a delightful change, apply two coats of black mascara and then tip the end of your lashes with a subdued or bright purple mascara.
When you use purple blush, don’t overdo it. Just a light dusting of blush should give you good results without looking ghoulish.
You can line the top and bottom of your lashes with purple eyeliner but remember that completing a full circle around your eyes can make your eyes look smaller. Instead, line completely along the top upper lashes but only halfway along lower lashes. Then smudge the line towards the inner eye for a softer, gentler look.
Deep purple or deep pinkish purple lipstick colors are best worn by women with darker skin tones. Women with fair skin can also get away with some shades of purple lipstick but pay attention. If you use a lipstick shade that doesn’t compliment your skin tone, your face may look washed out.
Either coordinate your makeup with your clothes or your clothes with your makeup. This technique pulls your look together and completes it. If you don’t like wearing purple clothes, try wearing a scarf that includes purple or wear purple heels, which are totally awesome!
There are no limitations when it comes to purple make up. Ultimately, the choice is up to you.
Purple make up feels like a luxury when you wear it. Its one of the few extravagances most of us can still afford! Try updating your makeup choices to include more purple today!
