Purple Hair Color
I dyed my hair Darkest Brown from Clairol then I used dark brown from Clairol Instincts, and when I dried it, it was purple. How can I correct this?

If you just colored your hair, you can use some harsh shampoos and hope the purple color will come out of your hair some. Use shampoos like Prell or
Matrix Amplify, which blows open the hair cuticle to add volume to
thin hair. You could also use a dish soap like Dawn.
The problem is that each color you used had a different base. One must have had a blue base, while the other one had a red base. Mix the two and you get purple.
You will have to get the color professionally removed, try and remove it yourself, (color remover) or just give it time and keep washing it. It will fade over time. If you try to remove the color now, you will end up with pink hair most probably. Anytime you lift purple, you get pink.
If you use a color remover or harsh shampoo, you will need to do a deep moisturizing treatment on your hair afterward. If your hair is damaged, use a protein conditioner with moisturizer or use
hask placenta with Olive Oil.
(Its an all time favorite of mine!)
