Professional highlights ended up pink!

In August 2011 I asked for a red rinse but recently found out the hard way that it was actually a semi permanent color instead of a rinse. I waited till January to get highlights in my hair and I went to a professional and I ended up with yellow, pink, and platinum blonde highlights when my natural hair color is really light brown. I don't know what to do I don't want to dye my hair permanently and Ive gotten semi-permanents but haven't tried them on my hair for fear that they will make the pink worse.
What do I do since she used bleach I can't revert the process but now my hair is five different colors (the red still isn't completely out you can see it at the bottom of my hair.) Any suggestions? The lady told me to come back to her and let her fix it but I don't trust her to touch my hair... Please help!

This is very unfortunate. It sounds to me like maybe the hairstylist should have opted to wait until the red had completely faded from your hair before trying to add highlights. Unfortunately, there is no way to perfectly retrace and color over highlights.
Its hard to put your trust in someone who messed up your hair in the first place, but right now, that's about your best option. I'm not really sure what she can do about it though. Did you ask her how she was going to fix it? I would ask her and see if her answer seems sensible.
I suppose you've tried using harsh shampoos to try and fade the pink? Otherwise, the pink color should fade on its own in time but you'll have to be patient.
Its not a good idea to color over your hair either, unless you used a darker color, like a medium brown. You could try it though but do some
strand tests on the pink sections especially. This will be very time consuming but well worth the efforts if it helps. If the semi permanent works on the pink, then you know it should be safe to apply it to all of your hair.
I also wonder if the stylist used a toner on your hair after the highlights? If not, she sure should have! A toner would have helped a lot after the process but I'm not sure if one would help now.
Wished I could have been more helpful!
