Poofy Hair Solutions

How can I get rid of the poof in my hair? It is still there even though my perm has grown out? It just has way to much volume now. Please help me make it flat again!

To get rid of hair poof, you'll need to invest in a few products. You can use smoothing shampoos, smoothing conditioners, and/or smoothing creams that help smooth the hair cuticles.

If these don't solve the problem, try leave in conditioners. These add extra weight to your hair which will help pull it down. Infusium 23 leave in conditioner is a great product to start with.

If your hair is damaged, you should use deep conditioning hair treatments a couple times a month to restore moisture and strength to your hair.

Conditioning masks also work well as do pomades. You'll probably need to test a few products to find out which products work best for your unique hair situation though.
