perm gone wrong

Before I went natural recently had permed hair for nine years of my life. When i was younger having soft straight hair was great but it came at a cost. I live in an area where there are loads of black hair salons from the expensive to dead cheap, i was 17 at the time and didn't have a lot of money so dead cheap worked for me or so i thought. I had been using dark and lovely perm kits since i was 11 years old and decided to change brands. More fool me! I went to this ghetto shit shack to permed my hair and the lady doing my hair you could tell that she had no training whats so ever. While she was on the phone she dumped the perm in my hair with out putting on anything to protect the rest of my forehead. It got burnt big time and had massive amounts of scabbing on my forehead, what was worse she didn't even dry my hair properly so the ends of my hair crispy. The cow had to nerve to tell me if i wanted it dried properly i had to pay her extra. I walked home with crispy hair and a burnt forehead and was pissed. Thank goodness that shit shack closed down after six months, sometimes cheap is not always cheerful! ********** Simply dreadful! You could have done a much better job at home! That's why I recommend that everyone take care of their own hair. Why? Because you care a lot more about your own hair than some of the nut jobs working in salons these days! Sad but true! |
