orange/yellow hair!

by natasha
(glasgow/scotland)

I decided i wanted to go blonde one day, because i was sick of my black hair! So i went and bought a do-it-yourself hairdye and it came out bright orange!

So i bleached it again, then again. The next morning i bought another 4-5 dyes to get rid of the orangey yellow hair.

My hair was like straw afterwards! It was terrible. My hair was falling out. I cried and cried.

The next day i went to the hairdressers and she said she would fix it, so i thought she was going to dye it light brown like she had said. But no, she continued to bleach it. Afterwards it was even brighter yellow! I thought i was going to die.

Obviously, I had to get most of my hair cut off. It was so short it was unbelievable.

Later on that night i decided to buy another hair dye to try make it go a bit whiter. But no, yellow again!

So i gave up, and dyed it brown. My hair hasn't really grown that much and is still in rubbish condition, even though I've bought all the products. I've tried absolutely everything. I wish i could go back in time and change that night.

Ha! It'll grow back sometime hopefully! x

My goodness Natasha! You really have been through a rough hair experience! Your hair will grow back I promise. Just about everyone learns important lessons the hard way. Hair is phenomenonally forgiving though, so try to be patient and wait it out. Might I suggest hask placenta. I bet you haven't tried that yet! I've read that it works wonders if your hair is still damaged. Or you could try a cholesterol treatment. These are very inexpensive products that work really well on damaged hair. (Just in case you need them and for future reference...)

Being a Cosmetologist for over 17+ years, I've seen a lot of home hair experiments. lol The good news is that you can fix some of them. The bad news is that you can't fix them all! I've screwed up my own hair many times before I became licensed, and even since then a few times. (taking out pent up frustration with my shears!) lol Every woman makes hair mistakes! Right now, (if you care to learn more about colors and how they affect your hair...) my newly revised 2009 Hair Color Guide is on sale. Its got lots of graphics now, and even more information than it did before. You get tons of information about hair color! You can really learn a lot from this simple ebook. Right now, I am working closely with a wonderful lady in the UK, who screwed up her hair. (One of the perks of my ebook is that you get to ask me color questions, for free!) This offer will vanish at the end of 2009! Next year, will be the last year that I offer this service. You can find out more about it here.
