Orange Hair

So my sister and I decided to strip the color out of my hair. After my own attempt at low-lights (which just made half my hair black, and the other dark brown) my mother was furious and told me to fix it. She meant "go to a salon and pay to fix it".
So my sister and I set out to play hair dresser in my mother's bathroom. After about two hours of wrecking my hair, I had a nice bleach blonde/orange do. I slathered some aussie hair repair on hoping to salvage my fried ends. The next day we had planned to put a dark brown back into my hair (to end up with a light brown-my original color). However I soon became scared that my hair would fall out.
I ended up using a stylist whose hair just happened to be intentionally dyed the same orange color that my hair ended up being after the stripping. The visit didn't go so well since I explained to the receptionist that I wanted to get the "bozo orange color" out of my hair...

Thanks Jessica! That is hilarious! I actually had a picture handy of some orange hair, so I added it to your story. I think it looks good on only a few select people! Very few of us can pull it off. Sounds like you and your sis were artists well before your time!
Thanks for your submission and thanks for sharing your story. I bet it brought back some great memories for you! (Boy, I'd have loved to have been a fly on the wall when you said that to the hairdresser with orange hair! lol)
