Natural Hair Growth After Rebonding
by Chermaine

I have rebonded my hair 3 times since I was 12. Before I straightened my hair, my natural hair was thick but silky and soft. However, after I rebonded it, my hair became rough and damaged. I read from the internet that even though you've straightened your hair, the hair that grows out will be your natural hair again, but it is not showing on my hair.
Will my natural soft hair ever grow out again? If no, will shaving my hair help my hair to be natural and soft again? Please reply as soon as possible as I am desperate for the answer.

Yes, your natural hair will grow back so no need to shave your head just yet. Rebonding only works on the hair that's already showing and grown out. It won't affect the hair that's growing out or yet to grow out in the future. Your roots are where you should look for new growth.
To help speed up your hair growth, try taking
Super Biotin, a
B vitamin which helps growth of your
hair,
skin, and
nails.
You're probably self conscious right now and looking for a quick fix. Unfortunately, hair takes time to grow out again so be patient.
Rebonding is great if its done correctly but the process rearranges the actual chemical structure of your hair, so naturally it changes it. Since hair only grows about 1/2" a month, it could take a year or even longer before you will notice a visible difference.
