Makeup Colors for Green Eyes

  • Makeup colors for green eyes should start with a base coat of a neutral or matte color over the entire eyelid. Base colors to begin with range from beige to champagne shades. Mint shades work well as do yellow or tan colors. You can also use an eyeshadow primer to give colors more holding power. This becomes especially true if you have long days or nights or just have a hard time keeping makeup on.

  • Contour your eyes by blending a darker color in between your brow and eyelid. To contour, apply a darker, contrasting shade just above the eyelid and blend well into the base color. This creates a sultry, tantalizing effect that brings out your green eye color.

  • A lighter color is used along the brow bone to connect your shadow shades and always does the trick! You can pick up blends of makeup colors for green eyes that are especially formulated for your eyes. They work well because they eliminate any guess work!

  • Eyeliner's ALWAYS amplify the SIZE of your eyes. They can be applied in a variety of places (rims, under lashes, over lashes) and in different widths. If you like more of a sultry look, try making the lines thicker. If you're more of a free spirit, use thinner, less obvious lines. Use different widths and different colors frequently to give different effects!
