Long Hairstyle Ideas
So my hair has never been above my shoulders and I love it that way, but it just hangs there. Hair dressers are afraid to thin out my thick hair because it is a little curly and they're afraid that will make the curls look bad. So I need help figuring out to do with my long hair other than cutting it.
Its about to mid back right now and I have 2 or 3 layers. I part my hair on the left side and I have my bangs coming over to the right. If my hair isn't just hanging down, its in a pony tail and I need some new ideas of what to do with it. Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

Its hard to find things to do with longer hair that don't take a little effort. Here are some ideas:
You could try some
updo hairstyles for longer hair, or
curl your hair occasionally. A
messy bun is always cool too!
You don't have to curl all your hair though. You can add a
spiral curl in the front and that looks different, yet cool. Braiding your hair is always different.
Crimping your hair is always a fun way to wear it too. Of course, you'll need a
crimping iron.
Pig tails are making a come back if you're not afraid to wear them.
Instead of curling your hair with heat, you can braid your hair when its wet and let it dry. When you take it down, you'll have curls. How tight you braid it will determine how curly your hair will be. You can also tie your hair up above your head when its wet, (Pebbles style) and keep folding it over (in small bun style sections) into your hair tie. Get each section as tight as you can. This makes some great curls, once your hair is dry.
Another cool way to wear your hair is to add a loose large side braid. (On one side only) Add some colorful ribbons to your hair if you like.
Add a streak of a fun wash out hair color if you're feeling bold. There are many color choices available in blue, green, orange and red shades.
You can also section your ponytail by using more then one hair tie. Use several of them down your ponytail for a hip look.
You could also try parting your hair in the middle for a change. You can still wear your bangs to the side and part them off that way. Mixing up your side part is always fun too. Try zigzagging it instead of wearing it straight.
You can also pull the side sections of your hair to the back and fasten them with a large colorful barrette.
