Lift Orange Hair

I just decided spur of the moment that I was going to bleach a potion of my hair blonde as in the peek a boo type style. I went to my convenient store and bought an at home box (Loreal Super Blonde #200). I left it on for about a half an hour fearing that any longer would really damage my hair, but it came out an awful light orange color.
What can I do to fix this myself? Since its already bleached can I just buy another at home box of dye ( preferably platinum blonde) and dye over the bleached area? Will it be the color that I'm looking for?

Yes, just color over the bleached area. The color didn't lift enough, which is why your hair is light orange. You shouldn't freak out when you have color in your hair. Look at the color as its processing to ensure that it's lifted enough. Follow manufacturer directions for processing times and check your hair often. Hair color is not bleach! Once processing is done, its done. It can't keep lifting on its own.
I don't know if a Platinum Blonde will give you the color you're looking for, cause you didn't mention that. However, it'd be ludicrous for me to speculate on it, since all
hair textures and types lift differently.
It should however, get the orange out of your hair without damaging it.
