Layered Haircut Problem

by Barbie
(Crosby, TX)

I layered my hair at home and seems that for the life of me I cannot get both sides to match. It seems like one side is softer and curves inward in a nice way and the other side is more jagged and is crazy!

Anyways, I was wondering if maybe I could curl it in any way without damaging it so it will still grow out fast? I'd really appreciate some help. I layered it by doing the pony tail trick and took about sick inches off, so now it is a little above my shoulders. My bangs and hair coloring turned out great, it just seems certain areas...I just cant get right.

Well, here's the thing. One side of your hair is always thicker than the other side. It is completely natural for one side to cooperate and the other side not.

There's not much you can do to change nature unfortunately. Even if you curl your hair, one side will always rock, and the other side will only look so-so.

You might try the long layered haircut over again just to make sure you cut it straight. If you slant the cut even slightly, it will make a big difference.

You can also try parting your hair differently. For example, if you part your hair in the middle, try one side or the other. If you part your hair on the side, try more towards the middle or try the other side of your hair. This might even out the thickness problem for you. Other than that, there's not much you can do about it.
