This video explains how to layer cut your bangs. Layers create more versatility and make your hair look lighter and fuller. You can layer cut any length bang so they don't fall in a clump on your face.
Having layers in your bangs, also creates more movement. Bang layers are perfect if you like to create height. Separate your bangs into three sections. Roll the section in the front under, the section in the middle back, and the upper section back. When you unroll them, spray your bangs with hairspray, allow to dry, and tease them. You get more poof when you have layers, plus they'll be less likely to fall down because of weight.
Before you cut any hair at all, remember to blunt cut your bangs first. Get your hair bangs the length that you want them before you cut layers. There are several other bang videos to choose from so watch them first before you try to do layers.
If you want minimal layers, only layer your bangs once. For fuller bangs, use both methods explained in the video. Anytime you cut layers, you are blending your hair. Get rid of all 'V's' and triangles if you want a blended look.
Use the shorter hair on both sides of your bangs, as a guide to cut the triangle(s) out of your hair. Your hair will look perfectly blended like you've been to a Salon, maybe better!
Remember to take baby steps though. It's always better to cut too little than too much!
