Is Stripping Hair Color Damaging?

If I have dyed my hair a medium brown color and then put blonde highlights in it but don't like it, how bad will stripping my hair damage it if I already have split ends.
***************
That's impossible to tell you. You didn't tell me your
hair texture (fine, medium, coarse), which is quite important. The finer your hair, the more damaging it will be. The coarser your hair, the less damaging it will be. The health of your hair in it's present state will also determine how damaging stripping your hair of color will be.
It would be wise to get your
split ends trimmed first, then make sure about the hair color you want to try. The color your hair turns out, also depends on the color your hair is now. If you have blonde hair, then a medium brown hair color is going to turn very dark, almost black. If you have light brown hair and use a medium brown hair color, you will get better results.
If you'd like to experiment with some different hair colors before you color your hair, (so you know what it'll look like on you beforehand), you can upload your own photos and choose different hair colors at the
The HairStyler.com. (Its $14.95 for a lifetime membership, which is fantastic!)
If you don't want to spend any money however, you can get some good ideas from the
virtual hair color demo tool on this site.
