Is it Safe to Curl Rebonded Hair?
Is it safe to curl your hair if it's been rebonded for about a year already?
*************
That's a good question. The best advise is to call the salon where you got your hair rebonded and ask them. Different rebonding solutions have various different ingredients and chemicals, so there is no 'one size fits all' answer.
Rebonded hair is supposed to be straight however. The chemical process breaks existing bonds in your hair and then they are reformed into a straight pattern. Your hair as it exists, might be resistant to curls. However, if you want curls, it's worth a try. Trying to curl your hair shouldn't hurt your hair.
To keep your
hair healthy, its best to use steam
hot rollers or regular hair rollers instead of hot curling irons, which can degrade your hair if used too often.
Your hair has already been through a harsh chemical process. Take good care of it and it will continue to look great!
