How to Neutralize Red Colors

I have a level 3 natural color, no white hair. Did a home colour and got loads of red, which I don't want. I know they say green neutralises out red, but do you put the green mix in with the base 3 color or what?

The easiest way to neutralize red colors is to use an ash color that has a green base. Most ash colors have either a green or blue base. You'll have to look on the color box/tube/bottle to find that information. If you can't find it, you can always call the 1-800 customer service number. Most professional companies provide that information though.
If you bought some kind of special green mix, (never heard of them), then you need to read the directions on how to apply it to your hair to neutralize the red color. If it says to mix it with a hair color, then call the company and ask them what level and shade of color you should use.
Also, red colors fade quickly if you wash your hair a lot. This might be the safest way to remove the red color, but do remember to condition well afterward.
