How to Keep Curly Hair Straight
I have curly hair but it's pretty soft and easy to straighten and my curls look good. Problem is I like to wear my hair straight and it always looks perfect when I'm still at home but as soon as I step out of the house, it goes all wavy and a little frizzy even curly sometimes due to all of the humidity. I don't know how to deal with this problem. I'm afraid to try different hair styles and even have short bangs because I know it's not going to stay still and look neat the whole day!
I shampoo and condition my hair but I don't use any anti-frizz products. I then let it air dry and then straighten it using a straightening iron.

Humidity is a clear winner! There is no way to prevent your hair from reverting back to curling slightly if your curl pattern is strong enough. In your situation, it obviously is!
You'll need to use some hair products that might help you resolve this issue. Smoothing shampoos, conditioners, and creams are great weapons that help fight humidity and keep your hair straighter, longer. Look for words on the labels like 'sleek, straight, or smooth'!
There are a lot of newer products on the market that help keep your hair straight.
John Frieda 3 Day Straight and
L'Oreal Eversleek are just two of them!
Leave in conditioners might also be a good choice because they add weight to your hair which helps pull it down.
However, sometimes no matter how hard you try,
curly hair just has a mind of its own. If you keep ironing your hair everyday, you may well be damaging your hair.
If you want to keep your hair straight, you may want to get your
hair chemically straightened. It can be an expensive process however, and you'll have maintain the roots as they grow out. Do your homework first though and figure out what's best for you. Chemically straightened hair can (in some instances) cause
hair loss and
hair breakage, depending on the products used and the person providing the service!
