How to Get Even Color on Highlighted Hair Ends

I have been highlighting my hair for about 10 years and I feel like it is continuing to get more and more damaged. I want to dye my hair back to my natural color which is a dark blonde around a level 6. I am not sure if I have to apply a filler on the ends so the color is even roots to ends. If you could please let me know what you would normally do when dying a overly highlighted head of hair back to it's natural. Thankyou! :-)

If your hair ends are lighter than the rest of your hair, you may need a filler on the ends. (Use the clear formula.) Or you could simply use a
protein treatment with moisture before you color your hair. Both help fill in the cuticle so your hair doesn't grab the color you apply and is even root to tip.
You do need to know that where you had your highlights, the hair color will naturally be lighter on those hair strands. They won't be as visible as they are now but you will see some difference in the color.
