How to Cut Layered Hair - Quick, Easy, Nice!

Order the WEN® Healthy Hair Care System and receive FREE bonuses

This video explains how to cut layered hair by yourself in just minutes. This cut works best on curly or wavy hair, but can be done on straight hair too! I wasn't quite sure how this would turn out when I tried this cut, but my hair came out better than I could have ever imagined.

Over the years, my preference grew towards blowing my hair straight everyday to get rid of my curls. Now I've got them again and am really enjoying not having to really do anything much to my hair. I don't have to brush it as often if I scrunch my hair, and it really shows off my curls. (Which btw, is what men prefer!)

Please take your time though. Rome wasn't built in a day! You may also need to review my other layered cut video, which will help you get the basics of this cut and explain how to cut layered hair using this blunt cut technique.

You will also need a good pair of hair shears when you cut your own hair. Cutting your hair in general, is all about lines and measurements. Every hair cutting technique I post, started out as an experiment. They don't teach you how to cut your own hair in Cosmetology school!

If you have shorter hair to begin with, you can also use this technique for Emo type hair. (also called scene hair) One of my subscribers on youtube used this technique successfully and posted a comment about it, so you can really get creative. If you have short hair can't pull all of your hair up on top of your head, then only pull up what hair you can. Cut a small amount of hair and you'll get some layers at least. If you'd like more, cut more!

Remember though, mistakes are bound to happen! Lord knows I've made my fair share. If you're unsure of it, take baby steps. Cut smaller amounts of hair at first and see how it turns out. If it turns out well, then you can feel confident cutting more! This technique is much easier than the Circle Cut, that's become so popular on the web. *(Why, I'm not sure because the instructions are very hard to follow!)

Women nowadays, want easy and quick methods they can incorporate into their busy lives. I suggest, that if you want to learn how to cut layered hair, that you use this technique instead! Good luck and great hair!
