How to Correct Green Hair Color
I have medium brown hair with some gray that I dye reddish brown, and I have since gotten some blonde hightlights. I got tired of the highlights so I dyed my hair a light brown color but the highlights turned a green tint. What can I do?

Your highlights turned green because the color used was probably a blue base and the light brown color you used, was probably a yellow base. (or visa versa) In any event, base color's got mixed and blue and yellow make green! You will need a red based color to correct it.
The real problem however, is that not all of your hair turned green, just the highlights. This is going to be a bit trickier to fix. You could try using some harsh shampoos to help pull the color from your green hair or try a applying ketchup to your hair. You can get more tips for application on this page:
How to Fix Home Hair Color MistakesYou could also try using a semi permanent red color but since it would be too hard to only target the highlighted sections, you'll need to do a root to tip application. It might neutralize the green highlights and the color will/should wash out of your hair in a month.
Every hair color product on the market has a color base. If you are going to continue to color your hair, you should look for the base colors when you color your hair. If you can't find them, use the phone number on the back of the product package and ask the manufacturer's themselves.
If you never mix color bases, your hair won't turn weird colors.
