How old do you have to be to get a curly perm by hair dressers? ********* There is no set age limit however, getting your hair permed is a chemical service and some salon's do have age 'parameters' for their chemical services. If your parents give permission though, that could increase your chances of them bending the rules. I think I was around 16 when I got my first perm but that was a long time ago! Have you asked your parents if you could get one yet? They might be more agreeable to the service if you have a good reason for getting one. Also, you could call around to some local salons and find out how much they cost and if they allow young adults to get the service. Know these answers before you ask your parents though. They will want to know some of the same things before they allow the service. If you already know the answers, they will view this as you taking some responsibility for the service and may give their permission faster! It pays to do your homework first. Either way, it never hurts to just ask. The worst they can do is say 'no'. If they think you're just too young, try and be patient. All good things come to those who wait! |
