how long to wait between bleaching and rebonding?

by Xenia
(Manila, Philippines)

At the moment, my hair pattern is straight but fly away, finely thin and colored. I bleached my hair February 12 this year and then colored it. Now, since my hair is always fly away, I am planning to rebond it. Question is: is it ok to rebond my hair a month after bleaching and coloring?

************

Unless your hair is extremely healthy and you've been doing a ton of hair treatments, its not a good idea to rebond this soon after bleaching your hair. It makes no matter that you used hair color over it. Your hair was still subjected to bleach.

Its better to regain your hair health before you think about rebonding. Yes, its disappointing to have to wait, but what would you rather have? Damaged rebonded hair or healthy bleached and colored hair?

You can control fly away hair by using the many hair products available today. I also wondered. If your hair is straight already, why even bother getting it rebonded?

Yes you can NEW

Yes you can rebond your hair even if it is bleached, but you have to wait a year for your bleached hair for it to be safe to be rebonded. I had bleached hair and waited for a year with a little trimmimg and actually did the rebonding myself at home(i am not a professional hairstylist, i suggest you consult your trusted hairstylist) and used the matrix opti straight rebonding kit, my ends got weak but i have my usual and very effective hair treatment and regained the health of my hair after a month.

Hello, I rebonded my hair last March or April 2016 then I had it bleached in September. When will I be able to get a rebond again? Also, how long do I need to wait before bleaching/dying my hair after rebonding it? Thanks in advance.

I am having the same problem too. I really wished to have my hair rebounded. I always do this every 6 months as a gift to myself..but the problem is, I had my hair bleached 6 months ago..a friend of mine who had her hair bleached too happened to went to a salon to have it rebonded, the result is, she have had to cut it short because her hair became kinky thereafter..I am afraid this would happen to me too.

This may be an extremely difficult factor you're doing here, and probably hospitable plenty of harm and disaster. I actually recommend that you just have your consultation with skilled certified} professional hair colorist [no charge at the most salons] before you are doing anything! They’ll do a correct analysis of your hair and tell you what has to be done to induce what you would like, and what things to look at for. Raise regarding once care, regarding retouches, about cost. You would like of these facts before you start, as a result of mistakes take a really durable to grow out!
