Cherry pie was my favorite part of the meal when I was a child though. My mom made the best sour cherry pie’s! We had 3 trees in our yard growing up and picked cherries every year to freeze and store for the rest of the year. What fond memories it brings back, even thinking about it right now. It was the one part of the dinner that I looked forward to the most. I can still picture my mom cooking in the kitchen and remember the wonderful smells... They filled every room in the house!
