Help to Lose Weight – What You See is What You Get~

If you need help to lose weight, you must remember that sometimes what you see is what you get! When I was growing up, my sister and mother were obsessed with their weight. My mom especially was always on some kind of diet. My sister too, had my mom's body. Lots of bust, lots of hips and legs, and a little waist. She too, was always struggling with weight issues.



One of my sister’s favorite ways to help her curb her appetite was to put a picture on the refrigerator of a beautiful woman or model. Every time she went to the frig to get a snack, there was the beautiful woman with the great figure staring back at her in the body she wanted.

Help to Lose Weight

If you've got a beautiful woman with a great body staring back at you every time you reach for a snack, you're far more likely to stop what you're doing and remember your weight loss goals.

If your goal is to lose weight and you need help to lose weight, a simple picture can really make or break you and is a great idea!

I'm not suggesting that you try and look like a model. Get Real! Those girls are way too young and way too thin. They just don't look like the girl next door. They say a picture speaks a thousand words, so a picture of the model or a favorite movie star may help give you the drive you need to shed those extra pounds. (And keep your face out of the frig!)

Sadly enough in later years, my sister developed Bulimia, which was not a good thing, but it certainly had nothing to do with a picture on the frig. She simply took her obsession with weight to the next level. She also died doing it.

Pictures are just a mental reminder to get up off your ass behind and move! Remember too, that you can post a picture anywhere in your home. You don't have to limit yourself just to the frig. Post pictures wherever you want. Cabinets full of cookies and snacks are a great place. Your bathroom and clothes chest are other places you might choose.

If you are a guy, then post a picture of a decent looking guy or a woman you'd like to date. Do whatever works for you! If you need help to lose weight, pictures really work, so add one to your frig today! What you see really can be what you get!

* You can also use notes or words instead of pictures. A great big STOP sign on the frig also works. Or simply post words of encouragement like "I can do this!" or "Remember my weight loss goals!" Remind yourself often that you are a beautiful person! Giving your brain gentle positive reminders is good positive reinforcement when you're trying to lose weight. Your brain is powerful and it will help you to be powerful too!

Just remember, we are all different. Your body might not be programmed to be a size 6. Don't shoot for the moon if it's not unattainable. Do the best you can for your own body type. Not everyone can be a size 6 after all. Rome wasn't built in a day and changes take time. Be easy on yourself and make those little changes that can make a big difference in long term weight loss goals! Getting help to lose weight may only a picture away from attainable!
