Healthy Weight Loss Tips
for Dieting

Healthy weight loss is vitally important in any weight loss plan.

You can lose weight the healthy way if you can adjust the way you think about food. Food is meant to be medicinal, therefore its vital that you include more foods that encourage weight loss.

Losing weight the healthy way might take a bit longer but your health should actually improve. That’s a double bonus!

Healthy Weight Loss Tips for Dieting



  • When you eat large meals that are spread out during the day, you may be sending your body into the starvation mode in between meals, and your body will fight to hang onto your fat.

    Eating several small meals during the day, helps your body be more efficient at burning calories and your metabolism actually speeds up. Your body will become accustomed to 'getting fed' more often. It will 'know' more food is coming and will be far less likely to want to hold onto the fat in your cells!

  • Include more nutritious foods like fruits and vegetables more often, your body's metabolism will actually speed up even more! If you are overweight and struggling, remember that healthy weight loss takes time! Give yourself the time you need to be healthy!

    Don't be discouraged if the weight doesn't just fall off. Persevere! Weight loss will happen if you are eating the right things! If you can’t take time for several small meals, then just extend your large meals.

    Don’t eat your whole cheeseburger in one sitting. Eat half now and half later. Or if it’s a small cheeseburger to begin with, try to save at least a bite. Save a little for your favorite pet or simply just throw it out.

    I have always been told to leave a small amount of food on my plate when I eat. It’s simply considered to be 'good manners' but when you are trying to watch your weight, this concept takes on a whole different meaning.

    Also, if you miss a meal or skip a meal, don’t sweat it.

    Don’t try to make up for it later by eating too late or eating the wrong foods. Every once in a while it’s good to give your body a break or a resting period. In the Bible, Jesus called this ‘fasting’. It's not such a bad idea every now and then! Fasting is completely different from crash dieting, by the way.

  • Try incorporating more water into your diet. Water fills you up, not out! Drink a glass or two of water before meals to curb your appetite. Include water throughout your day as much as possible. Water helps to flush fat cells out of your body. The more water you drink, the less fat cells you have. The fewer fat cells you have, the more weight you will lose. To change things up, try drinking lemon water!

  • Calcium and vitamin D, found in dairy products, can help burn fat when you include a moderate amount of exercise in your routine. Dairy products bind to certain fats making them easier to digest, instead of being stored as fat by your body.

  • Eat your vegetables last. Why do you eat them last? When you first sit down to eat, your digestive (gastric) juices are at their highest amounts. Carbohydrates and meats are much harder to digest than veggies or fruits. You want maximum power helping to break down the foods that are hardest to digest. Since your veggies and fruits are easiest to digest, eat them last for the most digestive benefits.

  • Cut out white foods. These are considered to be non essential and lack the nutrients your body requires to stay healthy. A list includes, include white flour, salt, sugar, milk, white rice, and white potatoes. The purpose of eliminating white foods helps get you started in adopting a healthier way of eating.

  • Cut out wheat gluten, when and where you can! Because most people are allergic to wheat gluten, especially if your blood type is O or A, wheat gluten can make your body hold onto fat. If you're trying to lose weight, this isn't good news! Find out more about eating right for your blood type.

  • We overeat so much in our fast track society. Most people are way too focused on food. If you take away the infatuation, you will save tremendous amounts of money simply not buying or eating as much junk food! If you want a healthy weight loss, look no further than your lifestyle. Change your bad habits into good habits.

    You really have to watch your weight over the years. Weight is way sneaky so you have to be smarter and make smarter choices. If you start to gain weight, take steps immediately to take the weight back off. Its prevention at its finest!

  • Emotional eating will pack on the pounds quickly! Learn to control those cues you get from your environment to eat more. Too much food never solves any problems for anyone. In fact, more weight on you just makes problems worse.

  • Don't hide food! Many dieters get used to 'stashing goodies' they know are bad for their weight loss goals. Don't fall into that trap! You'll be far more likely to reach for these fatty foods, even though you know they might reverse any weight loss progress you've made! Healthy weight loss means excluding the foods you know make you gain weight!

  • Include more lean protein in your diet. If you can't afford lots of meat (who can?), then learn to substitute other types of lean protein like protein bars, low fat cheese, or beans.

    Lean proteins, especially foods that are rich in omega 3 oils, (such as tuna or salmon), help burn fat. Lean proteins fuels your body with energy. It has also been shown that those who consume fatty, oily fish at least twice a week (or more), are better able to lose more weight than those who consume red meats or poultry.

  • If you've reached a weight plateau and need to jump start weight loss, you can always do a weight loss cleanse. These are very effective at losing weight fast to help speed up the metabolism. They help get rid of the excessive fat in your body and will get you past your weight plateau.

    If you are really overweight or just have a few pounds to lose, the key is to eliminate as much of the unhealthy foods as you can and include the healthy foods more often! Its the best way to healthy weight loss!
