Q) I bought a hask placenta hair treatment so I wanted to know if you think I should use this product or not.
I am 20 years old and my hair is getting thinner and thinner. Please let me know if you think this is a good treatment or if you have another suggestion.
Professional Hair Care Answer - I have used hask placenta hair treatments and gotta tell you that I love this product! I used the kind that has olive oil in it, but have read many reviews about the regular hask that doesn't have olive oil. Either one works well. You can safely use this product with confidence!
Don't overdo protein treatments though. Sheep placenta is just about pure protein and too many protein treatments can dry out your hair and make it become dry and brittle. You (and everyone) should use a balance of protein treatments and deep conditioners to keep your hair healthy. Protein's help rebuild the structure of your hair. Deep conditioners give your hair the extra moisture it so desperately needs to stay healthy and look and feel lustrous. Most treatments and conditioners work best if you keep your head warm during them. Apply your treatment and either cover your hair with a plastic cap, sit in the sun, or use a heating cap.
You might also try taking Biotin. It's a B vitamin that I take everyday. (Actually take Super Biotin.) It won't upset your stomach like other B vitamins and helps strengthen hair, skin, and nails. I really think it makes my hair thicker and fuller also.
Leave in conditioners work very well for thinning hair, as they add volume to your hair. Any hair color will also coat your hair and make it thicker. Perms also work but can damage your hair.
Volumizing Shampoos also work well. Don't overdo on conditioners though. They can make your hair limp and that only makes it look thinner. You can also find shampoos and conditioners especially made for thinning hair. They typically have an ingredient that will coat your hair's cuticle and give it more volume.
Curling your hair using hot rollers will also give it volume. Stay away from hot irons as they might damage the hair you do have. Get regular trims to get rid of or avoid split ends. Oh, and by the way, hask placenta hair treatments have been praised for it's ability to repair split ends in many cases! That's something other treatments just can't do! For the cost, it only makes sense to include hask placenta hair treatments regularly.
