Hair was cut way too short!

I love wearing my hair in a pixie cut. A friend who is a stylist cut my hair absolutely perfectly 2 times previously. This past weekend i went back to her and she cut my hair WAAAAY too short. I dont know what she was thinking. It is about an inch long on top and less on the sides and back. I look great with short hair but this has ruined my looks. I am in cosmetology school now and am dreading school this week. I have been wearing a hat 24/7. This cut is spikey, uneven, over-texturized and looks horrible. I can see my scalp in places and normally it looks like I have the hair of 3 people. I have been crying for days. Ugh! I dont even know what to do... its dumb to be this depressed over something that will grow out soon but I am devastated. *********** This happened to me before but it happened while I was in Cosmetology school. We were all pretty much guinea pigs for each other while we were learning. At one point, I had a Mullet, which is the worst! Sometimes stylists just have an 'off day'. You will learn this after you get working. I did a chop job on a good friend of mine when I was working. Instead of stopping while I was ahead, I just kept cutting for some unknown reason. Fortunately, the guy understood and was nice about it but I felt like about 2 inches high. You're right though. Your hair will grow out but its totally understandable how you feel. By next year at this time, hopefully this will all seem like a bad dream! Hang in there kiddo! XO |
