Hair Roots are Too Light

Hi there! So I just recently (as in 2 days ago) colored my hair a light brown because my roots were so dark (my natural hair color is very dark brown, almost black) and I thought I needed a lighter color for it to work. But now my hair is too light, especially the roots. I wanted a chocolate brown color. Instead it is a light brown.
Should I use a shade darker from the original color? I used: Loreal Feria light brown. Please help I hate this color:(

Obviously, the color you used was too light. You can try a shade darker (medium brown color) but your roots will still be lighter if you use a 20 volume peroxide.
To darken roots, use a 10 volume peroxide on them and then use a 20 volume peroxide on the rest of your hair.
