Hair Loss Due to Seborrhea

Hello, I have a hair fall problem when I apply oil to my scalp or take a bath. I have dry hair, with oily scalp and oily dandruff. I have noticed that my smaller hair falls, and the lower tip of the hair has dandruff attached to it.

You have seborrheic dermatitis, also nicknamed cradle cap. It is characterized by yellow or white scales that are crusty and thick in appearance.
Seborrhea is not contagious or caused by poor hygiene. If it itches, excessive scratching of the area may cause additional inflammation, and breaks in the skin may cause bleeding.
It can be caused by a yeast called malessizia or an overproduction of oils in your scalp. Applying more oil to your scalp is not a good idea, as it will only make the problem worse.
To treat it, you'll need to use special medicated shampoos that have active ingredients (such as salicylic acid, coal tar, ketoconazole, or selenium) that help resolve it.
Its suggested to loosen the flakes with your
fingernails while you're shampooing your hair. However, if you loosen them and it causes bleeding, this isn't a good idea. Instead, gently massage your scalp with your
fingertips while you shampoo. Follow manufacturer instructions on the shampoo's bottle for the best results.
Although there are no proven results, taking
Biotin supplements helps improve the condition for many people.
One of the best shampoos to treat the condition is
T Gel by Neutrogena. I too, was born with seborrhea and when I have a flair up, its the shampoo I use.
Once you have the condition under control, your
hair loss will subside.
