Hair is Curly and Dry after Rebonding
by Karla
(Philippines)
that's me when I'm still a kid. Still have good straight hair.
My hair here is rebonded. the lower part of my hair is the rebonded part. The part of my hair near my scalp is dry and curly.
I did have straight hair when I was still little, but when a not so good hairstylist cut my hair, my hair got dull. I went to a salon and got my hair rebonded. After 3 months, some parts of my hair are curly and dry. The growing part of my hair is also curly and so dry. The rebonded part of my hair became brittle and frizzy.
I don’t want to go to the salon and have another hair rebonding or any straightener. I hope you could help me.

Well, first let me just say that in both pictures, you are just as cute as a button!
Sometimes, accepting what hair you have naturally is difficult. Your
hair texture and
volume can change as you age but so can your hair pattern.
In the states, there are many products that you apply to your hair to help maintain
straight styles. There are
straightening creams and smoothing creams that help pull curl out of your hair without being invasive. These also help calm down frizz.
When you buy
shampoos and conditioners, look for words like 'sleek' or 'smooth'. You could also touch up curly parts of your hair by using a flat iron occasionally.
Dry hair is a huge problem with rebonding. Keep conditioning your hair regularly. 'Leave in conditioners' keep moisture in your hair all the time and should be considered.
Which products will work best for your hair is hard to say. Everyone's hair needs are always a bit different. Experiment by purchasing different products but try to stick to brands you already trust and that already work well for your hair.
Deep conditioning treatments are a must-have for overly parched hair. Use them often to restore lost moisture.
Also, cutting your hair will not make it look dull. It was most likely the products the stylist used on your hair while you were at the salon, that made it look dull afterward. If I were you, I'd call the salon that cut your hair and ask them what products they use in the salon; then avoid using those products!
