Hair highlights add volume at first but then it fades away

I get my hair highlighted with bleach and I LOVE the volume, but after about 2 weeks the volume starts to go away on the top especially. I have asked several hairdressers and no one seems to have an answer. Thanks!

Your hair is more volumous after highlighting because the chemicals are still fresh in your hair. After a few weeks of moisturizing your hair at home with shampoos and conditioners, the bonds in the chemicals are weakened by the added moisture. Moisture is necessary to the health of your hair but it weighs your hair down too. This is completely natural.
Remember, dry hair frizzes. Moisturized hair lays down.
Since you like volumous hair, why not use volumizing products? Regularly used,
volumizing shampoos and conditioners help build up your hair, which creates more
hair volume.
If you like volumous roots in particular, use
root lifters or hair gels.
It would be unwise to think that getting your hair bleached more often would create more volume for you. Over time, bleach will disintegrate your hair so its good to only use it occasionally.
You might think about using other chemical products to help build volume too. There are clear
hair glazes on the market that don't add color but do add volume. You might also think about using semi permanent color occasionally to refresh your hair color. If they are colors however, they will affect your highlights.
Hope this helps!
