Hair Colorist Sabotage

I've been going to a salon on Old Country Rd. in Plainview New York for about a year now. The colorist has been in business many years and most of the time he has gotten the color right. But lately I've decided to grow out my hair and I feel that he is sabotoging my ability to do so. My hair has become very thin and brittle and since I am into body building I know it's not my diet because I eat a lot of protein. He is pushing this "Brazilian Keratin Treatment" for $200 and then I hear you have to get special shampoo. I pay this guy enough for my monthly visits.

His shampoo girl has washed my hair up to 4 times after coloring it, so I said no more shampoo, just rinse it. What does she do?? Puts gloss on it without putting any conditioner. I've also noticed when I go for a single process monthly that he covers my entire head with color. What for? When only the roots need to be done. I am at my wits end. I hate hair colorists and hope to God the pharmaceutical companies will develop that pill to stimulate the melanin to produce hair color.

Wouldn't that be nice! My best advice is to change salons! You are just going to keep building resentments. If you do change salons/stylists, be sure to ask them 1) the brand name and level of your hair color and 2) the strength of the peroxide they've been using. You could easily make something up too. Just tell them you're moving and need the color information for your next stylist. Best of luck!
