Basic Hair Color Tips for Home Coloring
If you are going to color your hair at home, you will need some basic hair color tips before you make a mess. Its much easier to plan so you make fewer mistakes! Color disasters happen all the time! Most of us have experienced them unfortunately. Before you color your hair, you'll need to figure out what your base color is. There is a wide range of natural hair colors levels and you should know yours! If you've been coloring your hair, you should already know what your hair color level is, however if you've been using a box to color your hair, you might not. If you want to lift your hair color and have a lighter color, you must understand that hair goes through stages of decolorization. You must remove certain colors to achieve the color that you want. On the other hand, if you have lighter hair and want to go darker, you must be careful not to go too dark. That can lead to hair much darker than you intended. Blonde hair grabs color and dark hair colors have very dense color molecules that are hard to remove once their in place. Also, if you have frayed ends, you may want to trim your hair before you color. That way the color will distribute more evenly.
